Hartlepool Photographic and Digital Group are a long established local camera club who regularly meet at Hartlepool Central Library to enjoy photography, both in traditional and digital formats. They are pleased to be once again running a free five week introduction to photography course. The course will run on the following evenings:-

• Wednesday 10th February
• Wednesday 17th February
• Wednesday 24th February
• Wednesday 3rd March and
• Wednesday 10th March

at 7:15 pm in the Community Room at the Central Library in York Road, Hartlepool.

The main topics to be covered on the course are:-

• How to store images
• How to set up your camera
• How to adjust images, colour, brightness etc
• How to crop your photos etc
• How to print your photos

Last Monday (25th January) the club welcomed back Henrietta Byrne to judge the 2nd Open Competition. Competition results and latest “league tables” can be seen by downloading the Excel sheet on the Club Competitions page. The winning images are now on display in the Galleries page.

Congratulations to all who had an image placed, and to all those whose work  was highly commended (and there were quite a few of you!).

On Monday 23rd November, Bill Stevenson and Gary Dixon attended the NYSD presentation evening where our club did really well. We won the Club Print Competition, with Dave Phillips winning the best print and Bill Stevenson coming second.

In the Digital Projected Image (DPI) Competition, our club came second. Overall, the club came second in the club competition.

In the Silver Salver (Individuals) Competition we did extremely well, the first three places all going to Hartlepool P&DG.

Welcome to the new website of the Hartlepool Photographic and Digital Group. Our club meets between September and May each season to enjoy photography in all its forms. An annual program of events forms the backbone of our weekly meetings every Monday beginning at 7.15pm in the Central Library, York Road, Hartlepool.

Members can enjoy the work of visiting lecturers and photographers, can take part in club and inter-club competitions, or can contribute to our “members nights”, where club members can present their work, whether it be a talk, an AV show, or prints and slides.
